Yerali, a 14-year-old student from School No. 59 in Karaganda, is currently studying in the United Kingdom while his mother is undertaking an internship under the Bolashak program at the University of Lincoln.
During their six-month stay in the UK, Yerali enrolled at Lincoln Priory Academy, where he is now studying under the British education system.
Despite initially having limited English proficiency, Yerali has adapted quickly. With the support of teachers and classmates, he has become more confident and actively engaged in school life.
In addition to his studies, Yerali attends ju-jitsu classes three times a week, fulfilling a long-time personal goal and making the most of his time abroad.
Yerali shares that he enjoys studying in the UK and values the new experiences and opportunities. He notes that even without strong English at the beginning, the supportive environment helped him overcome challenges and feel part of the community.
At My APA, we provide on-the-ground support in the UK not only for program participants but also for their families and children. Being based in England, we understand how important it is to help our fellow Kazakhstanis feel comfortable and supported abroad, and we are committed to assisting them at every stage of their journey.
