Dr. Alfiya Zakimova, Dean of the Business School at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, has arrived in the United Kingdom to begin a nine-month academic internship at Loughborough University as part of the Bolashak International Scholarship Program.

On her first day, Dr. Zakimova became familiar with the university campuses, met with academic colleagues, and received the keys to her personal office, officially commencing her academic and research activities at Loughborough University Business School.

During the internship, she will explore the development of entrepreneurship education in technical universities, as well as the experience of collaboration between universities and business and industry partners. Loughborough University is widely recognised for its strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and extensive network of international business partners.

Her professional focus during the internship is the entrepreneurial potential of engineering students. The knowledge and international best practices gained during the internship are planned to be adapted and implemented within the higher education system of Kazakhstan.

The internship aims to promote academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of international practices in entrepreneurship education.
