An Engineer from Kazakhstan Begins a New Academic Chapter at the University of Lincoln

Category: Internships

Zhandos has been awarded the prestigious Bolashak state scholarship and has started a one-year internship at the Lincoln School of Engineering, a specialist engineering school within the University of Lincoln established in partnership with Siemens.

During the internship, Zhandos will undertake practical training and work on engineering projects at the Siemens–University of Lincoln collaborative centre, gaining valuable experience in an international academic and industrial environment. This practice-oriented approach allows advanced engineering research to be combined with real-world applications.

Zhandos has arrived in the UK together with his family — his wife and daughter. For them, this period also represents an important personal experience, offering the opportunity to become familiar with British culture, everyday life in England, and the environment in which academic and professional development takes place.

The photograph was taken during induction day, part of the University of Lincoln’s introductory activities designed to help new students and interns familiarise themselves with the campus, academic environment, and organisational processes.

We wish Zhandos every success in his internship and professional growth, and his family a smooth adaptation and a rich cultural experience in the United Kingdom.
